Visit SOLMACC demonstration farm Hånsta Östergärde’s open field day 2/09 to learn about climate friendly farming practices

In this field day, on Wednesday 2 September 2015, we will demonstrate and discuss the climate-friendly practices that are being implemented on the Hansta Östergärde farm, including newly planted alleys of trees, fruit trees and hazelnuts grown together with cereals. The farm also has a well-established system for soil preparation in forestry using pigs as well as smaller trials and research on perennial cereal varieties.

As part of the day we will also have a workshop where we will discuss the development of agroforestry systems in Sweden.
